Florida PACE Centers is a part of Miami Jewish Health, a not-for-profit organization that has been helping aging adults feel and live better for more than 80 years. We focus on healthy aging by offering personalized services, customized programs, and respectful support throughout an entire continuum of care. Dr. Aretha Nelson-Casimir

Medical Director – Florida PACE Centers Miramar

Dr. Aretha Nelson-Casimir is an Internal Medicine specialist. She graduated from Morehouse School of Medicine in 1998 and has over 23 years of experience in the medical field. She completed her residency at the University of Maryland Medical System in 2001, focusing on Internal Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Ivan Dominguez Casillas

Medical Director – Florida PACE Centers Westchester and Kendall

Dr. Ivan Dominguez Casillas is an Internal Medicine specialist and has over 25 years of experience in the medical field. He received his medical degree from Universidad Superior de Ciencias Medicas in 1996. He completed his residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in 2018, focusing on Internal Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Edilia Alzugaray

Medical Director – Florida PACE Centers Miami

Dr. Edilia Alzugaray is a Geriatric Medicine specialist and has over 26 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from Universidad de Ciencias Medicas in 1995. She completed her residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, focusing on Internal Medicine. She also completed a fellowship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2001, focusing on Geriatric Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine.

Dr. Madeline Castro

Medical Director – Florida PACE Centers Hialeah

Dr. Madeline Castro is an Internal Medicine specialist and has over 33 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from the Instituto Superior de Ciencias Médicas de la Habana in 1988. She completed a residency in 1991, specializing in internal medicine, and a fellowship in 1993, focusing on critical care, at Hermanos Ameijeiras Hospital. She also completed her residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2009, focusing on Internal Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine.
